The Sandwich

In the cafeteria at work today, I saw the most beautiful sandwich ever made: Nutella, banana, peanut butter and marshmallows. On whole wheat.
Unable to loosen the shackles of society's convention of what "lunch" should be, I cowardly had a salad; The sandwich that could have been my lunch is still lingering in the virtual taste buds of my brain, though.

Alas, we won't be able to see R.E.M. live this year. They're scheduled to play in Berkeley on May 31st, but we're leaving for Europe on the 29th.

Sunny Sunday in San Francisco

Yesterday we had Dim Sum with some friends, and then spent the afternoon sightseeing in San Francisco, around the Presidio and Golden Gate Park areas.
We walked along the beach in Crissy Field (after a quick bathroom break at the St. Francis Yacht Club), then went up through the Presidio to Sea Cliff for some great views of the Golden Gate and Golden Gate Bridge.


The down by Ocean Beach and then to the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park.


Had a quick look outside the new De Young museum, and then ended the afternoon with tea, pastreis and patisserie at Citizen Cake.
